Internal assessment tools
Two tools built on the same rubric reading. The coach helps students think through each strand while they write. The marker gives teachers a consistent, evidenced first read before moderation.
For students
IA Coach
It never writes any part of a report. Feedback is framed as questions, so the thinking and the words stay the student's own.
- Four parts that follow the report: research design, data analysis, conclusion and evaluation
- Include and watch-out lists, sentence starters, and tables that tidy themselves when you paste
- An indicative band for each strand, with guiding questions instead of rewritten text
- A writing record (typed or pasted) and a feedback log you can share with your teacher
- Downloads as a clean Word document, ready to move into your own report

For teachers
IA Marker
Marks are indicative. The teacher decides every final mark, and nothing is released to a student without approval.
- Upload IAs as PDF or Word; the marker reads text, tables and page images
- Criterion-by-criterion indicative marks with the evidence quoted from the report
- Calibrated against moderated, banded examples and your department's rulings
- An authenticity panel that highlights indicators to discuss with a student, with no AI score
- Draft feedback written as guiding questions, ready to edit before release

For students and teachers
IA report templates
One Word template for each part of the report, with the same headings, guidance and sentence starters as the IA Coach, and dashed boxes where tables and graphs go. Open one to read it here, then download it for Word or copy it into Google Docs, where your teacher can see the full version history.
